Russia names five more suspects in deadly attack on Moscow concert hall

Five new suspects in connection with the deadly attack on Moscow's Crocus City Hall in March must now stand trial on charges of terrorism and possession of weapons, the Moscow court announced on Thursday.

More than 20 people, including four suspected shooters, were arrested after the attack on March 22. The attack left 145 people dead and hundreds injured, making it the deadliest attack in Europe in the last two decades. The IS offshoot ISIS-K, which is affiliated with the Islamic State, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Moscow's Basmanny District Court announced the names of five more defendants on Thursday and extended their pre-trial detention until December 1. The men are accused of membership in a terrorist organization and committing a terrorist act, as well as trafficking in weapons and explosives.

The Baza Telegram news channel, which allegedly has links to Russian intelligence, reported in May that the investigation into the Crocus City Hall attack had identified five more suspects, all Tajik citizens whose names had not been made public at the time.

The Moscow court identified the men as Shakhomdzhon Gadoyev, Zubaydullo Ismailov, Mustakime Soliev, Umedzhon Soliev and Husein Khamidov. Photographs accompanying the court's announcement showed the five men behind a glass cage for defendants in the courtroom.
