Wells Fargo employee found dead days after arriving at Tempe office

TEMPE, Arizona. – A woman was found dead days after starting work at a Wells Fargo office in Tempe.

In a statement we received, police say officers responded to the area of ​​Priest Drive and Washington Street on August 20 after on-site security responded to a call about an employee they believed to be dead. The employee was identified as 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme.

“Denise was pronounced dead at 4:55 p.m.,” the police statement said.

According to investigators, Prudhomme's last scan in the building was conducted on August 16 at around 7:00 a.m. There were no further scans of Prudhomme after that.

“The preliminary investigation has revealed no obvious signs of a crime,” police wrote, but added that the coroner will determine Prudhomme's cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing. We have reached out to Wells Fargo for comment.
