Sedalia Police Reports August 29, 2024

On Wednesday evening, officers assisted Pettis County deputies in the 3500 block of South Grand Avenue with a theft in the 500 block of Sunset Drive. Officers collected information from Quivonta Stephone Ray Moore and created a report.


On Wednesday morning, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West 4th Street and South Grand Avenue where a vehicle had failed to obey a stop sign. Officers determined that the driver did not have a valid driver's license at the time of the stop. Officers arrested the suspect and transported her to the Pettis County Jail. Ana Bertah Mendez, 37, of Sedalia was arrested for failure to obey a stop sign, failure to have proof of insurance, and operating a motor vehicle on the highway without a valid driver's license.



On the afternoon of August 25, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West 4th Street and South Limit Avenue for a vehicle making an improper turn. Officers determined that the driver of the vehicle did not have a valid driver's license at the time of the stop. Officers arrested the driver and transported him to the Pettis County Jail. Miguel Nava Pascual, 18, of Sedalia, was arrested for improper left turn, no proof of insurance, and operating a motor vehicle on the highway without a valid driver's license.


On Sunday afternoon, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Veterans Memorial Road. Officers identified the driver of the vehicle, who had a suspended license. Jorge Cruz Arreola, 65, of Sedalia, was arrested for driving while license revoked, failure to engage an ignition interlock device and no proof of insurance. Arreola was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at Vermont Park, 1200 Vermont Avenue. Officers identified the primary offender during the investigation. Amber Felicia Gregg, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for third-degree domestic violence. Gregg was held in the Pettis County Jail for 24 hours.
