West Haven woman abuses minor and shares video

WEST HAVEN – A West Haven woman is accused of sexually abusing a minor and sharing a video of the abuse with a man who is also accused, police said.

Elizabeth Jordan, 41, is charged with second-degree sexual abuse, conspiracy to commit second-degree assault, two counts of voyeurism, two counts of distribution of voyeuristic material, endangerment of minors and unauthorized distribution of an intimate image, West Haven police Sergeant Scott Allard said in a news release Thursday.

Josh Bailey, 44, of Milford is charged with second-degree criminal sexual assault, conspiracy to commit second-degree sexual assault, two counts of criminal voyeurism, criminal endangerment of a minor and conspiracy to endanger a minor, Allard said.

The arrests followed a tip the police's special victims unit received in April from the state Department of Children and Families, Allard said, about sexual abuse by Jordan.

Allard said Jordan is accused of filming the sexual assault of a minor and then sending the images to Bailey for his sexual gratification. He said Jordan also allegedly sent images of another minor to Bailey for the same reason.

The investigation led to the issuance of arrest warrants for Jordan and Bailey, Allard said.

Jordan turned himself in to police on Thursday and was held on bail pending arraignment, police said, while Bailey was arrested in connection with a separate incident in Milford and transported to West Haven to face charges based on the warrant.

Both are expected to face trial in Superior Court in Milford, Allard said.
