Casper police officer safely catches horse with lasso in traffic

Here's something you don't see (or hear about) every day.

This morning (Thursday, August 29, 2024), at approximately 12:30 a.m., a horse was traveling in Casper traffic.

A call was received at the dispatch center and the Casper Police Department responded.

Officer Singh rushes to the rescue

Officer Singh responded to the call and luckily had a lasso in his trunk (for “Wyoming reasons”). He was able to safely capture the animal and hold it until suitable accommodation could be found. The fire inspector will be coming this morning to determine an owner.

All's well that ends well. The beautiful horse is now safe, healthy and unharmed.
