Paris police reports from August 28, 2023

On August 28, officers responded to a car crash in the 1300 block of N. Collegiate. The crash involved three vehicles. One vehicle was driven by Christopher Lonnie Majors, 48. Majors' vehicle struck the back of another vehicle, causing it to strike the back of another vehicle. A passenger in the front vehicle complained of neck, shoulder and throat pain. The passenger was transported to PRMC by Paris EMS. The investigation revealed that Majors was intoxicated and that he had two prior convictions for DUI. Majors was arrested and charged with assault while under the influence, a felony. Majors was in possession of a handgun at the time of the incident and was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. He was arrested without incident.

During the reporting period, officers conducted 12 traffic stops, arrested 5 adults and responded to 123 emergency calls.
