1 dead and 2 seriously injured in accident involving Henry Co. semi-trailer

NAPOLEON, Ohio (WTVG) – A Lima woman was killed and two others were seriously injured in a crash Wednesday evening at the intersection of U.S. 6 and Ohio 109.

According to the Henry County Sheriff's Office, a westbound semi-trailer truck struck a passenger vehicle that failed to yield at around 9:35 p.m.

The driver and passenger, both 19 years old from Lima, were seriously injured and taken to St. Vincent Medical Center.

A 21-year-old passenger, Katelynn Hinkle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tractor-trailer driver was treated and released on site.

The crash remains under investigation.
