Marquette County man faces 18 child sexual abuse charges

MARQUETTE COUNTY, Michigan (WLUC) – The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force announced they have arrested a Marquette County man for child sexual abuse.

According to MSP, 22-year-old John Fitzgerald Anderson was arrested as part of an investigation that began when police learned Anderson was viewing files containing child sexually abusive material online. Investigators searched his home and seized digital evidence.

Anderson was charged with nine counts of sexual abuse of children – aggravated distribution – and nine counts of computer use to commit a crime. He was arraigned on August 21 in Marquette County's 96th District Court.
