Scotty McCreery cancels concert after noticing alleged assault in audience: Absolutely unacceptable

Scotty McCreery, known for his heartwarming performances and country charm, made a stand against violence during his recent concert at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo on August 24. The former American Idol winner was in the middle of his performance when he noticed a disturbing incident in the crowd. A man was reportedly hitting a woman, prompting McCreery, 30, to interrupt his show and confront the alleged attacker.

Concertgoer Jessica Rosario captured the moment on video, showing McCreery interrupting his performance of “It Matters To Her” to address the situation. “Here, that's a woman you just hit, sir,” McCreery said, visibly upset. “No way, you just hit the woman. Police? Security? Is she OK? Get out of here.”

Security quickly removed the man from the venue, while McCreery continued to voice his disapproval, saying, “For God's sake. At a Scotty McCreery show? What are you doing? Whoever you are, hitting a woman is the definition of a coward. Get out of here.”

After making sure the woman was safe and the situation was under control, McCreery addressed the crowd and continued his performance. According to a Colorado State Fair representative, the incident remains under investigation and no further details have been released.

Fans praised McCreery for his quick response and commitment to ensuring a safe atmosphere at his performances. The singer declined to comment further, but his actions spoke volumes about his stance on violence.
