I-80 Football Show: The long night is over, week 1 is here!

Welcome to another episode of the Land-Grant Podcast Network's I-80 Football Show. In this show, we'll be driving down I-80 to talk all things Big Ten football. After each action-packed week, we'll catch you up on all the games in the conference and take a look at the matchups, storylines and players to watch for in the next week.

My name is Jordan Williams and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.

The NCAA officially notified Michigan of the allegations in what may have been the quickest and most meticulous investigation in recent history. It's hardly a coincidence that the notice came days before the release of the Netflix documentary starring Connor Stallions about the sign-stealing scandal. Notifying Michigan in the days leading up to the documentary and the week before the season begins is proof that the NCAA knows people think they're useless and wants to demonstrate their power in this scenario.

Week 0 gave us some good games, even though Vegas expected big losses. Florida State needed less than four hours to prove why preseason rankings are a waste of time. Even in a long and boring offseason, there is better content than ranking teams before the season starts, especially with the transfer portal. It's impossible to know which teams are good until they've played a few games.

Week 1 is officially here, and the guys are kicking things off with “Map Quest” – a new segment where they highlight one game in each of the four time slots: Friday night, Saturday afternoon, noon and primetime that everyone should watch. Week 1 will extend with games from Thursday to Monday, including the solo game between USC and LSU on Sunday night.

There are many games that should be avoided unless you're a pervert like us, but we've still found four games that are worth watching on TV this weekend.
