Shooting in Chicago: Woman in car on 95th Street seriously injured in head, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — A 24-year-old woman was shot and seriously injured in a car on the South Side Wednesday evening, Chicago police said.

The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 95th Street.

According to police, the woman was traveling in a car when someone in a silver SUV shot at her.

The woman suffered head injuries and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

According to police, no one is in custody. Detectives from Area Two are investigating.
