Two fatal vehicle crashes reported late Wednesday near Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON, Kansas (WIBW) – At least one person is dead in a two-vehicle crash late Wednesday night in Reno County, authorities said.

The accident was reported at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday on Highway US-50, about 7 miles east of Hutchinson.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a vehicle traveling east on US-50 crossed the center line for an unknown reason and collided with a vehicle traveling west on the highway.

Further details, such as the number of injured and the types of vehicles involved in the accident, were not available early Thursday.
