Autopsy: Mountain Home man found dead killed in creek | The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Baxter County officials are investigating the death of a Mountain Home man who was found in a creek near the Izard County line earlier this month. It is a homicide after an autopsy found his death may have been the result of foul play, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Wednesday.

The state medical examiner's autopsy revealed that 50-year-old Rickey Joe Millsap was killed. His body was found in Moccasin Creek near the border between Baxter and Izard counties on August 15, the press release said.

Millsap has not been seen since August 8, but no one has reported him missing, the report said. Millsap's cause of death is not listed in the report.

The investigation into Millsap's murder is ongoing, the press release states.
