Person arrested in connection with fatal shooting on Lee Street

PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) – UPDATE: Pineville Police reported that 18-year-old Steven Bush of Natchitoches was arrested on Wednesday, August 28, in connection with a fatal shooting in the 200 block of Lee Street.

According to PPD, Bush was charged with first-degree murder and taken to the Rapides Parish Detention Center. According to RPSO, Bush is being held on $1,025,000 bail.

The incident is currently still under investigation.

PREVIOUS REPORT: PPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 200 block of Lee Street in Pineville.

The PPD said they arrived in the Lee Street area around 2:30 p.m. on August 28 and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
