Fans of “Emmerdale” have come up with a devastating plan for Moira Dingle’s departure.

Moira, played by Natalie J Robb, has become a popular character with viewers, but recent episodes have raised fears that she could be headed for a tragic end. In a dramatic turn of events, Moira suffered a seizure in her barn last night, leaving fans and the village uncertain about her condition.

In tonight's episode, Moira was gripped by fear as she realised something was wrong with her health. Speculation among viewers suggests that a brain tumour could be the cause, potentially sealing Moira's fate on the soap.

Social media is awash with fan theories, with one viewer saying: “I think Moira will be trapped in the fire and then they'll confirm in hospital that she has a brain tumour. We know Nate is leaving – so he'll probably die in the fire.” Another echoed earlier speculation: “I said right at the start when Moira was acting so strange that I thought she had a brain tumour and I said it again last week! #Emmerdale.”

Natalie herself has spoken out about Moira's condition, saying: “When I found out that Moira was suffering from a serious illness, I knew I wanted to do my bit to raise awareness. A soap can play such a big role in raising awareness of many different illnesses, as it did so brilliantly this year with Chas' cancer diagnosis,” reports the Mirror.

“As a soap actress, you're left to the gods as far as your character and what happens to them is concerned. But I think it's important that we cover serious illnesses so that people can hopefully realise they're not alone. I know I'd be petrified with fear if I had seizures and had no idea why. It's a demanding role and a huge responsibility.”

Natalie revealed her commitment to realism in her latest challenging storyline on the show, describing her close collaboration with a medical expert to authentically portray her character's health issues.

“I learned a lot about the different types of seizures you can have, and I worked closely with an expert. He gave me a lot of wonderful advice on how to recognize little visual signs, even subtle things, when you're having a seizure,” Natalie said of her preparation.

She expressed her sympathy: “It was important to me to show how much it affects a person. It takes everything from you and the confusion afterwards is very hard. My heart goes out to the people who have gone through this or are going through it.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1.
