A two-car crash on State Route 20 near Twisp leaves one driver injured and the highway closed

TWISP, Washington – A man was injured in a one-car crash on State Route 20 near Twisp involving two eastbound cars.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), on Wednesday at around 1:40 p.m., a car driven by a 72-year-old man slowed down to turn left when another car, driven by a 68-year-old man, attempted to pass by moving into the westbound lane. As the 72-year-old's car completed its turn, it collided with the 68-year-old's car in the westbound lane. After the impact, the 68-year-old's car came to rest in both the eastbound and westbound lanes, while the 72-year-old's car ended up on the right shoulder of the eastbound lane.

WSP reported that the 68-year-old man was injured and taken to a hospital, while the 72-year-old suffered no injuries. Traffic was closed in both directions at mile marker 210.

The current condition of the injured man is unknown.
