Employee charged with sexual abuse of residents at a nursing home in Saskatchewan

WILKIE, Sask. – A Saskatchewan nursing home employee is facing multiple charges after being accused of sexually assaulting residents.

The RCMP allege that between January 2023 and February of this year, at least four adult residents of the facility in Wilkie, west of Saskatoon, were assaulted or threatened by the woman.

According to Mounties, the accused no longer works at the nursing home.

Jaclyn Elias, 36, of Wilkie, is charged with sexual assault, sexual abuse with a weapon, assault and threatening behavior.

She appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday.

Her next court date is expected in September.
