Whoopi Goldberg felt personally insulted after her former “The View” co-star Joy Behar explained why she was “glad” about her firing

Sometimes the friendships you make at work are the best part of a job. It's nice — if not necessary — to have people who understand what you're going through for much of the waking hours of the day. The recently re-signed ladies of “The View” seem to know the power of a good work friend, and that's why host Whoopi Goldberg got a little emotional on a recent episode of the ABC talk show after longtime co-host Joy Behar said she was “glad” she was fired from the show in 2013 because all her friends left. In a discussion about how the pandemic and remote work have affected people's ability to have a best friend at work, Joy Behar gave her strong opinions to her colleagues on “The View.” She explained that if she didn't have friends at work, she wouldn't want to be there anymore.
