Arenac County man arrested for aggravated possession of child pornography, MSP says

ARENAC CO., Michigan (WNEM) – A 42-year-old Arenac County man was arrested and charged with aggravated possession of child pornography.

According to the Michigan State Police (MSP), an investigation was launched into George Howard Ivey II when it was discovered that he was viewing files containing child pornography on the Internet.

MSP said he turned himself in to Arenac County court following the investigation, which resulted in digital evidence being seized from his home.

Ivey was charged with two counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material.

He was arraigned on Wednesday, August 28.

The MSP Computer Crimes Unit encourages parents to talk to their children about safe Internet use.
