Two 17-year-olds have been charged in connection with a shooting in Dorchester that injured five people, including an 11-year-old child, last month.

On July 10, Boston police responded to the area of ​​10 Greenwood St. for a report of multiple people being shot. At the scene, they found five victims with gunshot wounds, including an 11-year-old child. All five people sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals.

Boston police said officers arrested one of the teens on a firearms charge at around 12:57 p.m. Saturday in the Castlegate Road area. During the ensuing investigation, investigators determined the teen was one of the wanted suspects for the July 10 shooting. He was charged with possession of a firearm, carrying without a permit, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building and five counts of assault with a firearm.

The other 17-year-old was arrested by members of the department's Youth Violence Strike Group around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in the area of ​​4 Derby Road in Norwood. He was arrested on a warrant from Dorchester Juvenile Court. Charges included possession of a firearm, carrying without a permit, carrying a firearm without a permit, carrying a loaded weapon, ammunition without an FID card, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building and five counts of assault with a firearm.

Both teenagers were arraigned in Dorchester Juvenile Court.
