“Particularly impressive”: Harris campaign counters Trump’s attack with two words

Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign attacked Donald Trump with just two words after the former president baselessly railed against the 2024 Democratic candidate in his recent all-caps Truth Social post.

“With Kamala, it's always fake,” the MAGA candidate wrote on Wednesday. “We dominate her on social media, so she makes a fake list of her numbers compared to my numbers. All of our engagement is real and natural, while Kamala has to pay for her fake engagement. We beat her like a drum like we're going to beat her on November 5th. Everything is fake, all misinformation and disinformation. We destroy democracy on social media!”

Harris' official campaign account retweeted the post with the comment: “Rent free.”

According to Later, a social media management company, “'rent free' is a slang term used to describe a situation in which something occupies a significant amount of space in another person's mind.”

Josh Marshall, founder of Taking Points Memo, responded: “Kamala is already driving rents down.”

Conservative lawyer George Conway added: “Damn, things are getting tight here!”

Franklin Leonard, editor at Vanity Fair, commented: “This is particularly impressive because Donald has never rented to black people in the past.”
