Dylan Crews' first career home run thrilled MLB fans

The Washington Nationals have added another young star to their roster and MLB fans are excited.

On Wednesday afternoon, 2023 first-round pick Dylan Crews opened the Nats' game against the New York Yankees with his first career home run, and fans were thrilled.

Crews hammered a 1-0 fastball from Carlos Rodon 399 feet into left-center field. It left the bat at 105.4 mph and was a no-brainer.

The fans were thrilled by the 22-year-old's explosion.

Crews was the No. 2 pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, as the Nationals selected him shortly after the Pittsburgh Pirates, who took his college teammate Paul Skenes. The LSU product won the 2023 Golden Spikes Award, so his debut was highly anticipated. He played his first major league game on Monday, and it didn't take him long to earn a spot.

He joins a large number of young talents already on Washington's roster. He will share the outfield with super talent James Wood and shortstop CJ Abrams is already an All-Star.

Nationals fans have plenty of reasons to be excited, and Crews showed why on Wednesday night.
