Police seek suspect in Bronx sexual assault case

BRONX, NY — A 19-year-old woman was attacked in broad daylight in the Bronx Saturday morning, prompting police to ask the public for help in identifying the suspects.

The incident occurred on August 24, 2024, at around 9:30 a.m. in front of 610 Exterior Street. According to the New York Police Department, the victim was walking down the street when an unknown person approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks.

The suspect then pulled down the victim's pants, exposing her private areas, before fleeing on foot south toward River Avenue, police said. The victim was not physically injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a man with medium skin tone and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and black sneakers.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact him during the investigation.

  • NYPD asks public for help identifying suspect in Harlem shooting attempt

    HARLEM, NY – The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted assault that occurred early Thursday morning in Harlem.

    The incident occurred on August 22 at approximately 2:30 a.m. on the grounds of the 32nd Precinct. According to police, an unknown individual pulled out a firearm and fired several shots at a group of three men. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

    The suspect fled the crime scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

    The person is described as a man with dark skin and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, light jogging pants and black sneakers with white soles.

    The NYPD has released a photo of the suspect and is asking anyone with information to come forward.

  • Elderly man attacked by group at subway station in Brooklyn

    BROOKLYN, NY — A 76-year-old man was attacked by a group of six women at the Rockaway Avenue subway station early Monday morning, police said.

    The incident occurred at approximately 2:10 a.m. as the victim was sitting on a bench on the subway platform. According to the New York Police Department, five of the women approached the man and began punching and kicking his head.

    One of the attackers then hit the victim on the head with a scooter, causing further injuries. After the attack, the group of women fled the station in an unknown direction.

    The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where his condition was stable.

    No arrests were made and police are still investigating the incident.
