Tutor: Tutor arrested for sexually harassing a 15-year-old student |

Pune: The Mundhwa Police On Tuesday evening, a 38-year-old tutor was arrested in the city on charges of sexually harassing a 15-year-old Girl Student on August 26th.
Police produced the teacher before a special court on Wednesday, which remanded him in custody until August 29.
Senior Inspector Nilkant Jagtap of Mundhwa police said the girl was a Class 10 student of a local school and had attended the teacher's coaching classes in June to prepare for the SSC examination in various subjects.
Jagtap said the girl had stated in her complaint that the teacher had asked her to wait after the other students had left the classroom on the pretext of forcing her to take a written exam. The teacher had harassed her with unwelcome remarks which made her uncomfortable and also touched her inappropriately, the girl said.
In this case, a police complaint was filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act for violation of modesty and use of force and sexual assault/harassment.
