Bakersfield man arrested for alleged possession of child sexual abuse material: BPD

Bakersfield police arrested a 34-year-old Bakersfield man Wednesday morning after a search warrant revealed he was in possession of suspected child sexual abuse materials, Bakersfield police said.

On August 28, at approximately 7 a.m., several local and federal law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant on a home in the 1500 block of Lotus Lane, near East Casa Loma Drive. During the search, child sexual abuse materials were allegedly found in the home of Rafael Guerrero, 34, of Bakersfield. He was arrested.

No further information was available in a press release from the BPD.

The Bakersfield Police Department, Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Kern County Probation Department and the United States Secret Service worked together to arrest Guerrero.

BPD said they are part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program.
