First teaser for Kerry Washington’s World War II drama “The Six Triple Eight”

“You don't have the luxury of being good, you have the burden of being better.” Netflix has released a first teaser for a film called “The Six Triple Eight,” a brand new production from Tyler Perry. Thankfully, this one isn't called “Tyler Perry's Six Triple Eight,” because it's not another romantic thriller. “The Six Triple Eight” is inspired by the first and only colored unit of the Women's Army Corps to serve overseas in World War II. 855 women joined to catch up on a three-year backlog of undelivered mail. Despite discrimination and wartime devastation, they managed to pre-sort more than 17 million pieces of mail. The film was written and directed by Tyler Perry, and Kerry Washington plays Major Charity Adams, the commanding officer of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.
