NORMAL, Ill. – The 2024 season begins Saturday in Iowa when the 19th-seeded Illinois State football team travels to Kinnick Stadium to face Big Ten Conference opponent and 25th-seeded Iowa. ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the upcoming matchup with the Hawkeyes on Thursday in the first The Brock Spack Show of the season, live from Schooners in Bloomington, starting at 6 p.m.

Coach Spack will speak with Redbird football commentator John Fitzgerald and longtime color analyst Ted Schmitz about his team's offseason preparations for the opening game against the Hawkeyes. This week they will be joined by quarterback Tommy Rittenhouse and Defensive Assistant Head Coach and Outside Linebackers Mentor Kye Stewart as special guests.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, right on the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it to Schooners to see the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Portions of the show will also be streamed live on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
