How Christopher Reeves' wife Dana saved his life after an accident

Seven words changed Christopher Reeve's world.

After the legendary Superman The actor suffered a spinal cord injury in a horse riding accident in 1995, which left him paralyzed from the neck down. His wife Daniela Reeve gave him the strength to carry on.

Dana, who died of lung cancer two years after her husband, married the actor in 1992 and the couple had a son William Reeve32, the same year. Christopher was also father of Matthew Reeve44, and daughter Alexandra Reeve Givens40, with his ex Gae Exton.
