Man in wheelchair stabbed to death ‘with machete’ in latest lawless attack in London

A man in a wheelchair was stabbed to death in a street brawl in east London.

Emergency services were called at 3.38pm today to a fight on Rushmore Road in Clapton.


Officers found a man in his 30s with a stab wound. Despite the best efforts of emergency responders, he was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

There were reports on social media that a machete was used.

A butcher at local shop Hook Meat Supplier described the “disabled” victim to MyLondon as a “good guy” who he had been dealing with for about nine years.

He added that he was “not happy.” [with the stabbing] because it affects business” and that he “sees no problems”.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told GB News: “Police were called at 3.38pm on Wednesday 28 August to reports of a fight in Rushmore Road, E5.

“Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended the scene and found a man in his 30s with a stab wound.

“Despite all efforts by the rescue services, his death was unfortunately confirmed at the scene of the accident. His next of kin will be informed.

“A crime scene exists. Two men (no further details at this time) have been arrested.

“Investigations are ongoing and the office is in full swing. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or message @MetCC on X quoting CAD 4793/28AUG.”
