New main chapter with solutions to the anniversary drama

Fate/Grand Order has finally ended its summer celebrations on both servers. The event on the North American server ended in early August, and the event on the Japanese server began shortly after. The changes to character skills made on the Japanese server during the anniversary caused a lot of outrage in the community and eventually a response from Lasengle. The permanent solution finally went into effect with the new update released today.

The permanent solution refunded players any Servant Coins they received from pulling additional copies of Servants that they may have spent on Grail Casting. This feature allows players to convert excess Servant Coins into Grails to increase character level caps. So players who have used the Grail Casting system a lot will receive a gigantic amount of Servant Coins with the new update. Now, Servants that players have pulled enough copies of and increased their bond level should be able to be maxed out.

The update also released the new main chapter, Ordeal Call 3, which focuses on the extra class Moon Cancer and, as the name suggests, is set on the moon. To access this new chapter, players will need to complete the Ordeal Call prologue and the Summer Nine event, which is currently running on JP.

On the North American side, there is currently a little downtime between events on the Road to Lostbelt 7. Having just finished Summer Seven and the Fate/Overnight 20th Anniversary Campaign, the next event starts next week: the annual GudaGuda event. Before that, however, there is the NA-exclusive Back to School campaign. This banner is only available in NA, and it usually offers small rewards and a chance to grab a character. This year, Lasengle decided to surprise players with a Koyanskaya of Light banner for the campaign. Koyanskaya of Light was the sixth anniversary Servant and was released in NA last year. She was supposed to get a banner in December of this year, just before NA gets the new main chapter Lostbelt 7. However, this surprise banner could disrupt those plans, or give players a chance to grab her and save her for another year-end iteration. Koyan is the definitive support for the Buster card type, and by playing two of her (yours and a friend's), players can enable Buster farming. Regardless, if players are still recovering from the effects of the summer banners on their saved pulls, there should be another chance to get her along with other powerful support reps at the end of the year.
