Bloomsburg man killed in lawnmower accident

WEST HEMLOCK TOWNSHIP, MONTOUR CO. (WOLF) — A man was killed in a lawnmower accident in Montour County, authorities said.

According to the Montour County Coroner's Office, a fatal lawnmower accident occurred around 9:39 a.m. Wednesday

Officials say Corey Harner, 42, of the Bloomsburg area, was operating a commercial zero-turn lawn mower on a hillside when the mower slipped off the hillside and fell on Harner.

The coroner said the roll bar was not in the correct position at the time of the incident for safety reasons.

Harner, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was employed at Umger's Lawn Service in Bloomsburg.
