Experience the entertainment you can't miss at Disney's Oogie Boogie Bash!

It's TIME!

Oogie Boogie Bash has FINALLY started at Disneyland Resort and we love the way Disney California Adventure completely transforms for this spooky event. While it's still not as scary as Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, it focuses more on Disney villains than Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which we LOVE. If you're going to the event this year, Here you will find a summary of all the entertainment you can experience with your ticket!

Meet and greet the characters

One of the biggest attractions of this event is the opportunity Meet various rare Disney characters throughout the park!

These are often characters you won't see anywhere else in the park at other times of the year, making it extra special. This year we got to meet fan favorites like Donald Duck from Kingdom Hearts!

We also discovered some Cars Characters roaming around Cars Land in costumes. It's always so much fun!

There are often clues on the map indicating where to find special character encounters, so keep an eye out for them when you visit.

You never know who will show up for the Oogie Boogie Bash, so keep your eyes peeled around the park!

Trick or Treat on the Trails

However, You can also meet characters on the trick-or-treat trails! Along these trails you can collect candy AND see and interact with rare Disney villains.

This year there are 12 different treat trails, and many of them are returning from previous years. But some are brand new!

In the Ancient Sanctum on Avengers Campus, you'll find the Agatha Harkness Treat Trail. She's been here in the past, but this year she's wearing a new outfit inspired by her Disney+ series.

One of the new treat trails for 2024 is inspired by Phineas and Ferb – You can see Dr. Doofenshmirtz! Find him at the theater in Hollywood Land.

Another new feature this year is the Hades Treat Trail! Hades' Hideaway is located on the Hollywood Backlot Stage.

And of course, it wouldn't be an Oogie Boogie Bash without a visit to Oogie Boogie himself! His candy trail is located in the Animation Academy and is quite impressively designed.

Other characters you can discover on these paths include Sid from Toy historyYokai by Baymax – Giant RobowabohuMrs. Mim from The Witch in the Magic StoneErnesto de la Cruz from coconutand Judge Doom by Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The treat tours are definitely a highlight of the evening, so don't miss it!

Terribly funny parade

You also have the opportunity to meet some of your favorite Disney characters and villains in the iconic Terribly funny parade This happens every night (weather permitting)!

If you're a fan of Disney villains, you should definitely check this out too.

And of course the parade begins symbolically with a ride by the headless horseman.

This is undoubtedly one of the most popular events of the festival, so make sure you secure your place early! It is usually displayed 1-2 times per nightbut be sure to check the Disneyland app and your party card for the most up-to-date information!

Mickey's Trick or Treat

You can also see the stage show, Mickey's Trick or Treat3-4 times per night! It takes place at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land and is fantastic for the whole family.

The story follows Mickey and Minnie (and Goofy and Donald!) who meet their friend Parker, who brews a special magic potion that turns the night upside down! We don't want to give anything away, but if you have some time to spare or have some small children with you, we think it's definitely worth a look.

Rogue Grove

One of the most popular events of the evening is Villains Grove, located on the Reedwood Creek Challenge Trail. Disney villains have taken over the land and turned it into their own personal playground, brought to life with special effects, lights and fog.

Sections of the path are dedicated to various villains, such as:

• Frollo's Sanctuary
• Maleficent's Will
• Garden of the Queen of Hearts
• Scar's Elephant Graveyard
• Dr. Facilier's friends on the other side
• The Evil Queen's Lightning Forest
• Home of the Will-o-the-Wisps
• dusk

And finally, don’t miss the photo opportunities in the park! And we encourage you to take FULL advantage of them because All PhotoPass photos taken during the party are included in your party ticket!
