In 2019, Julianne Hough was in the process of separating from her husband Brooks Laich. Between the separation and starting a new business, she had a lot to do. But then the unthinkable happened.

“I had asked for a separation,” the DWTS host said on the Jamie Kern Lima Show. “And then 10 days later my dogs were killed by coyotes.”

They were Cavalier King Charles Spaniels named Lexi and Harley. Losing a pet is never easy, but the timing made the tragedy even more terrible.
