Houston man wanted for fatal knife attack on ex-girlfriend arrested

A Houston man wanted for stabbing his ex-girlfriend is now behind bars.

Oscar Daniel Vega Espinoza, 34, was charged with murder and tampering with evidence for the killing, which occurred on the morning of August 17. He was arrested without incident by Harris County Sheriff's Office officers on August 27 and booked into the Harris County Jail.

The victim's body was found underwater near the Brays Bayou Greenway Trail dam in southeast Houston. Officers found that the body had multiple stab wounds. Further investigation into the victim's background allowed them to identify Vega Espinoza as the prime suspect in the murder.

The identity of the 30-year-old victim has not yet been disclosed.
