Early voting begins to fill vacant Sherman City Council seat

SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) – Polls began Wednesday for early voting to fill the vacant Sherman City Council District 1 seat.

Clay Barnett, Casie Rivas and Sandra Melton are the three candidates in the race for the position.

Sherman residents can cast their early ballots now through September 10 at the Grayson County Elections Office.

Early voting times:

Wednesday to Friday, August 28-30, 2024 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday to Friday, 3-6 September 2024 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday to Tuesday, 9-10 September 2024 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The special election day is September 14th.
