Maddington stabbing: Woman charged with murder after allegedly stabbing man to death in Perth

A woman has been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed to death.

At around 8.20pm on Tuesday evening, emergency services were called to a house in Maddington, 21 kilometres southeast of Perth's central business district, after an altercation was reported.

The police claim The man was stabbed in the leg before the woman allegedly fled the scene.

Police performed CPR on the seriously injured man until paramedics arrived, The West reported.

He was taken to Armadale Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The woman was arrested a short time later near the house.

The police assume that the two knew each other.

The Collie woman has been charged with murder and will appear in court on Thursday.

After the suspected murder, homicide detectives spent most of Wednesday at the crime scene at the end of a dead-end street, for several hours.

Both ends of the street were cordoned off while forensic investigators searched the crime scene.
