Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man and a woman were found seriously injured.

Norfolk Police said they were called to Blackhill Wood Lane on the Queen's Hill estate in Costessey, near Norwich, at 4.15pm (BST) on Monday.

Officers found a man in his forties with stab wounds and a woman in her thirties with injuries to her head and arm.

A 32-year-old man accused of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a knife article appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning and was remanded in custody.

He will appear at Norwich Crown Court on September 25.

According to police, the suspect and the two injured men, who were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, knew each other.
