Jayda Cheaves speaks to the speakers about the sexuality of Loyal Armani

On Monday, August 26, Cheaves and her friend Dess Dior released a new episode of their podcast, “Act Normal,” via YouTube. About fifteen minutes into the episode, Dior asked Cheaves why she had recently made headlines with her latest Waydamin campaign. As The Shade Room previously reported, an image promoting the brand's latest collection showed Cheaves covering her chest while walking on a beach wearing her swimwear. Her son, Loyal Armani, was also seen in the image.

Some social media users then expressed concern about Loyal being near his mother while she was partially naked.

In her response to Dior, Cheaves stated that she was not bothered by the “rabble” of the Internet.

“Only because I knew my intentions,” she said. “…If your intentions are pure and good, you don't need to clarify anything…I can't hear their opinion on anything I posted.”

As the conversation continued, Cheaves addressed those who commented on Loyal's “sexuality” while criticizing her campaign image.

“It's scary,” Cheaves explained. “It's literally at the point where I'm like, I just have to pray for these types of people… Pray that they understand in their hearts that this is a child [and] There are certain limits that you simply cannot cross [or] certain things you just don’t say.”

Cheaves eventually declared that she “knows” who Loyal “is” and that she was no longer concerned with controlling public opinion about him.

“…Nobody asked [or] worried or bothered,” she explained.

Social media plays a role

Social media users reacted to Cheaves' stance in The Shade Room's comments section.

Instagram user @teridixon_32 wrote: I'm worried about a six-year-old, but your husband Darrell, Danielle, is in prison. Leave that boy alone!”

While Instagram user @reijunky_ added, Sexuality and 5 years old in the same sentence is crazy! He's a baby.”

Instagram user @moniquesroom wrote: Why are a 5-year-old child and “sexuality” even mentioned in the same sentence, let alone as a topic? We live in very scary times!”

Jayda Cheaves' sister also recently made headlines with her son

Cheaves isn't the only one in her family who has made headlines alongside her son. As The Shade Room previously reported, her sister Jazmine made headlines earlier this month after she told her young son Blaze to stop “screaming” while on Instagram Live.

While streaming, Jazmine stressed to the newborn that he was “not a girl” and seemed to vent her frustration at him crying “all day.”

“…I don't like him doing that screaming shit. He's not a girl,” she said.

Jazmine's comments sparked a backlash online, leading the young mother to defend herself in her Instagram story. In her comments, Jazmine stated that she would no longer post about her son online.
