Police identify 21-year-old Danbury man killed in car crash in Ridgefield

DANBURY, CT – Police are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred early Sunday morning that left a Danbury resident dead.

Ridgefield Police received a report of a serious two-car crash in the area of ​​Ethan Allen Highway 71 at approximately 12:46 a.m.

Rescue workers found two heavily damaged cars. One driver, identified as Nathaniel M. McLean (21), was pronounced dead at the scene by Ridgefield Fire Department paramedics. The second driver, Chaudhry M. Shouq (56), was extricated from his vehicle and taken to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries. Both men were Danbury residents.
