Farmington woman arrested for assault after domestic incident

Officers arrested a Farmington man following an assault investigation.

Ontario County officers arrested Michelle Renee Benner, 44, of Farmington, New York, at approximately 4:45 p.m. on August 23, 2024, and charged her with third-degree assault. The arrest followed an investigation of a domestic incident at her residence on Northup Lane.

According to authorities, the victim sustained injuries to her left knee after being pushed to the ground during the incident. Benner turned herself in to the Ontario County Jail, where she was taken into custody without incident.

Benner was arraigned in CAP Court and is scheduled to appear in Farmington Municipal Court at a later date to answer the charges.
