Woman found dead, possibly stabbed, in her Hazelwood Terrace home

ROCHESTER, NY – A 43-year-old woman was found dead of serious injuries in a home on Hazelwood Terrace in the southeast part of the city Tuesday evening.

Rochester police are trying to determine how she died. They were called to the home around 11:30 p.m. for a stabbing and are now trying to confirm if she was actually stabbed.

News10NBC saw people crying, hugging and embracing at the public safety building around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning before going inside to speak with investigators. Half an hour later, police announced they were investigating the death.

News10NBC's photojournalist saw RPD block off Hazelwood Terrace and the squad car at the scene to investigate the woman's death. Anyone with information or video is asked to call 911.
