Suspect arrested after robbery and knife attack on victim in Venice

When authorities arrived, the suspect was not present

A suspect was arrested in Venice on Monday evening shortly after stabbing and robbing a male victim, authorities confirmed.

On August 26 at around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing at the intersection of Rose Avenue and Pacific Avenue.

When police arrived, the suspect was not present. According to the victim's statement, the suspect stabbed him in the left arm, then hit him on the head with the handle of a knife and stole money from his pocket.

Later, around midnight, the suspect was found and arrested in the 400 block of Ocean Front Walk. Authorities said he was charged with robbery.

The victim's condition was stable and the hospital was reached.
