Another stabbing in Jersey – time to take action against criminals

While we don't know all the details about the perpetrator and the victim, or how the knife ended up in the hands of a potential murderer after passing through security, we do know that it should not have happened.

For many years I have spoken about the need to get serious about criminals and address the mental illness that is now prevalent in our communities. Bail reform is a disaster that has created a revolving door for criminals because police officers cannot detain offenders.

The open border has allowed over 800,000 illegal immigrants to flood into New Jersey. Many of them are criminals taking advantage of your hard-earned income.

NJ has an Attorney General and a Governor who spend their time handcuffing cops and excusing bad behavior. It's time to crack down on criminals, reopen mental hospitals, and get serious about protecting our communities and public spaces.

The story was reported earlier this week when a 37-year-old North Carolina woman was in New Jersey for a wedding and was on her way back to North Carolina when she was stabbed in the face at Newark Airport.

She was waiting for her flight in Terminal A when a man grabbed her from behind and stabbed her. The attacker broke her nose and cheekbone and she had to have a dozen stitches to close the stab wound.

Xiong Jin, 54, was arrested by port police and released from prison two days earlier after serving a sentence for assault in 2009.
