New Chief Appointed for Greenfield Police Department

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) — Acting Police Chief Todd Dodge has officially been named Greenfield's new police chief.

Dodge was born in Greenfield and has been a member of the police force since 1998.

He was sworn in as acting police chief in February following the retirement of former police chief Robert Haigh.

Since his appointment, Dodge has been proactive in implementing new policing practices, such as the Community Impact Division, a unit focused on developing connections throughout the community.

An official swearing-in ceremony for Chief Dodge will be announced at a later date.
