Man charged with attempted murder in connection with stabbing at Notting Hill Carnival | UK news

A 20-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman who police say was involved in an altercation between two groups of men was stabbed at the Notting Hill Carnival.

Shakiel Thibou, from Hammersmith in west London, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. He is also charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.

The Metropolitan Police said his two brothers had also been charged in connection with the same incident and would appear in court at the same time.

Sheldon Thibou, 24, also from Hammersmith, was charged with violent disorder, possession of a stun gun and assaulting a paramedic.

Shaeim Thibou, 22, from Fulham, south-west London, has been charged with violent disorder and assault on a paramedic.

The woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed in Golborne Road, Ladbroke Grove, on Sunday.
