SM Entertainment announces Taeil's exclusion from NCT due to sex crimes

SM entertainment announced Taeil’s expulsion from the NCT due to sexual crimes.

On August 28, SM Entertainment made the sudden announcement on social media, shocking its fans. According to the label's post, Taeil is involved in a criminal case for a sexual offense and has now been expelled from NCT.

SM Entertainment stated the following:

“This is SM Entertainment.

We recently confirmed that Taeil is involved in criminal proceedings related to a sexual offense.

After reviewing the facts of this matter and recognizing the seriousness of the situation, we have come to the conclusion that Taeil can no longer continue his activities in the team and, after discussions with him, have decided to remove him from the group.

Currently, Taeil is cooperating loyally with the police investigation and we will make further statements as the investigation progresses.

We deeply apologize for any concerns and inconvenience our artist has caused.”
