Three men charged after stabbing woman

Three men have been charged after a 32-year-old woman was stabbed to death while attending the Notting Hill Carnival with her young child.

The Metropolitan Police said the woman was still “fighting for her life” in hospital after being injured at the event in west London on Sunday evening.

Shakiel Thibou, 20, from Hammersmith, was charged with attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.

His brothers Sheldon Thibou (24) and Shaeim Thibou (22), both from Fulham, were also charged with violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker, among other charges. All three were remanded in custody and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court later.

Sheldon Thibou was also charged with possession of a stun gun.

Police said officers stationed in Notting Hill for the carnival “became aware of a woman who had been stabbed” shortly before 6pm (CEST) on Sunday.
