TLC concerts canceled after T-Boz hospitalized for alarming health issues | Entertainment

TLC had to pause its performances this weekend due to a health scare involving Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, who was hospitalized with alarming symptoms.

The legendary duo, known for hits like “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs,” consisting of T-Boz and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, were scheduled to perform at the Great New York State Fair on Friday night. However, they had to cancel their show shortly before it was set to begin. The fair announced on Instagram that T-Boz was exhibiting symptoms initially thought to be related to food poisoning, leading to the sudden cancellation.

The show wished him a speedy recovery, but the situation was more serious than initially thought. On Saturday, TLC clarified that T-Boz's symptoms were not due to food poisoning. In an Instagram story later shared by the show, TLC explained that T-Boz, 54, suffered from severe nausea, vomiting and severe abdominal pain that required immediate medical attention.

According to media reports, T-Boz was hospitalized after a medical examination, where she was diagnosed with severe abdominal obstruction. This condition forced TLC to cancel not only the show in Syracuse, but also a planned appearance at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, where they were scheduled to perform with Shaggy.

With T-Boz still undergoing medical treatment and his release scheduled for Sunday, TLC expressed regret over the cancellations. Despite the disappointment of some fans who criticized the short notice, many others showed support and understanding for T-Boz's medical condition.

In response to the outcry and in appreciation of their fans' understanding, TLC apologized for the inconvenience and assured everyone that they would work to make up for the missed performances. The group stressed that T-Boz's health was their top priority and they followed their doctor's advice to keep her under observation to fully assess her condition.
