A family delivery via Doordash resulted in a road rage accident that tragically left a 2-year-old in an east Dallas neighborhood around 8 p.m. Sunday night. FOX4.

According to court documents, the culprit was a man on a motorcycle who was driving in the middle of the road without his lights on.

As Fox4 reported, a vehicle with a family inside turned into a street and honked as the family tried to avoid the motorcycle.

Arrest records show the motorcyclist followed the vehicle through the neighborhood, screaming. He then retaliated by turning around, grabbing a gun and shooting the vehicle twice, hitting a 2-year-old child in the back seat, police said.

The suspected shooter was identified by witnesses as 50-year-old Jason Cane.

A neighbor said the suspected shooter showed up at the scene again and asked neighbors what happened, suggesting it had something to do with drug dealers on the next street.

The suspect initially resisted arrest but eventually complied. During a search of his house, police found rifles, automatic weapons, and satanic and Nazi symbols.

According to FOX4, his bail is set at $850,000 and he is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail. He is facing up to one count of assault on a child and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The toddler is currently in the hospital stable, but nothing is known about his condition.
