Police rushed to an address in Fallin, near Stirling, but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

There appear to be no suspicious circumstances.

Noah's devastated mother Dawn Guthrie shared her grief in a post on Facebook.

She wrote: “We are more sad than ever in our lives to announce the passing of our beautiful, perfect boy Noah-Pie on August 24th.

“We have never felt such pain and want to wake up from this nightmare.

“Noah, our perfect boy, you left a void that no one will ever fill.

“It's always going to be the four of us against the world. You and Grandpa Guthrie are going to take a little ride in the car until Mom, Dad and Mason get here. See you soon, Piep.

“I love you until there are no stars above you, our darling.”
